www.nesll.netQ: What is Summerball?
Summerball is an extension of the 2026 Little League year.
The season lasts 5 weeks (July 6th - August 7th). Expect approximately 2 games per week (Mondays through Thursdays). There are no additional practices.
This is a recreational league offering more baseball opportunities. There are no playoffs or standings. Moving players around into different positions is encouraged.
If there are enough arms available (and willing to pitch), throwing a new pitcher for each inning is encouraged.
Q: How do I register? Who is eligible to play?

Summerball is open to Little League Ages 8-12 [DOB 9/1/13 to 8/31/18]
Registration is LIVE now and will be open through June 25th. The earlier you register, the easier it is to form teams.
Q: Who and Where do we play?
Summerall plays an interleague schedule throughout North Seattle. In addition to playing other NESLL teams, expect to play games vs. neighboring Little Leagues (North Central, RUG, Northwest, Queen Anne, Ballard). Expect an even balance of Home and Away games.
Most game sites are at fields North of Ship Canal Bridge and East of Aurora Ave. There may be 1-2 Away games scheduled in Ballard or Queen Anne.
Q: How are teams formed? Who are the coaches? Can I coach?
First and foremost, we need coaches to make the season happen. We encourage a group of parents to volunteer together to lighten the load. Summerball is a great opportunity for a first-time coach to take the lead.
There is no draft. If a coach has a group of players that would all like to play together, please provide the list and we will do our best to make it work (similar to Tee Ball and Farm team formation).
Rosters are generally larger because of summer vacations, swim team, and other activities. 13-15 per roster. If your player misses a game, no big deal.
Q: What are the divisions?
AA is a HYBRID of Kid Pitch AA and Coach Pitch (Farm 2). There are no base-on-balls. Kids pitch to kids; after Ball 4 from a kid pitcher, the batter’s coach comes in and tosses 4 pitches for the batter to put one in play. AA-Hybrid is designed for 2026 Farm 2 players ready for pitching to and hitting off peers, and 2026 AA players who would benefit from additional development of first year of kid pitch. Stealing bases is allowed. No stealing home. No extra bases on a catcher’s overthrow.
AAA plays AAA Little League Rules. Stealing bases (including home) is allowed. This division is designed for 2026 AAA players, as well as 2026 AA players who were very comfortable in their first year of kid-pitch. Can make an exception for 12-year-olds who are still developing baseball skills.
Majors plays Majors rules. 2026 Majors 11- & 12-year-old players looking to extend their 2026 season. 2026 AAA 11-year-olds ready to compete in Majors.
