Tee Ball

We introduce the ball-meets-bat sports to children through tee ball.  The general gist:

  • Players age 4-6 as of August 31, 2022
  • Co-ed
  • 13-15 players per team
  • Players select their teams (NESLL will assign players to teams on parent request)
  • Practices will start around the middle of March
  • Games begin in early April
    • Two games per week are played -- one on a weeknight and one on Saturday (twelve games total)
    • Games begin between 5-6 PM on weeknights and at 9:30 AM and later on Saturdays.
  • Players hit balls off a tee
  • 55-foot base paths
  • Three inning "games"
    • No scores
    • No outs
    • All hits are singles
    • All batters hit every inning
  • Each matchup (Team A v. Team B) is split into two sub matchups (A1 v. B1, A2 v. B2) played on adjacent fields
  • Team shirts, hats, bats and helmets provided by NESLL
  • Players bring their own gloves; personal helmets strongly encouraged
  • Tee Ball Players are strongly encouraged to graduate to the Farm Program with their fellow peers and NOT their coaches.  Moving up to Farm because of a coach move is not a valid reason to be in Farm.  ALL requested moves from Tee Ball to Farm MUST BE APPROVED by BOTH the Tee Ball and Farm league Coordinators.
