The AA (American) division baseball is the first competitive division of little league and the third of NESLL’s six baseball programs. It is similar to Farm 2 with the following exceptions:
- Registrations CLOSE in early February
- Practices will start in late February
- Games will start in late March
- All kids in the AA level MUST ATTEND at least ONE ASSESSMENT.
- Players Little League age 9 and under (9U)(click here to go to the Little League age calculator)
- Players are drafted onto teams pursuant to assessments
- Coaches will notify team members with a direct call to the player after the draft
- Three games per week (21 total)
- Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday games
- Tuesday and Thursday games usually begin between 5-6 pm depending on field availability. Saturday games are in the afternoon.
- Players pitch (hard baseballs)
- Balls, strikes, walks and strikeouts
- Modified stealing rules: no stealing home; one base advance only on a steal; and no leadoffs.
- Games have scores
- Season-long standings (won/loss records)
- Playoffs
