Northeast Seattle Little League

Majors

Majors is the fourth of NESLL’s five baseball divisions and the Pinnacle Division.   This is why your child is playing Little League.  It is substantially similar to the National division with the following exceptions:

  • Registration CLOSES in early February
  • Every kid in Majors must attend one assessment.
  • Coaches will notify team members with a direct call to the player after the draft
  • Practices will start in late February
  • Games will start in late March
  • Games are played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (National games are played on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays)
  • Games are six innings — no two-hour limit as in American and National
  • There is no five-run inning limit as there is in National — three outs or bust
  •  Play is highly competitive and very fun for the kids and parents.  You WILL see some great baseball games at this level of play.

PLEASE NOTE: Absent prior written waiver from NESLL’s president, players must go through assessments to be eligible to play the Major division.  If a player is not assessed for a given season and has not obtained a written waiver from the president, he/she may not play.  No exceptions.

The 12U NESLL All-Star team is our one and only baseball team that has a shot at the Little League World Series.  All the team has to do is win. :) Parents of 12U All-Stars MUST have the expectations set it in place that this team *could* go all the way to the Little League World Series in Williamsport.
