Our neighboring leagues:
NESLL strictly enforces its residency requirements, which are a condition of our Little League charter. There are, however, some limited exceptions that allow children who live outside NESLL’s boundaries to participate in our programs:
- Baseball. A child who played NESLL last year but has since moved outside NESLL’s boundaries may continue to play in NESLL via a Regulation IId waiver. The waiver must be approved by the NESLL president and by the District 8 Little League office. Once granted, this waiver is good for the remainder of the player’s career in NESLL and need not be requested in subsequent years. A player who qualifies under this waiver, however, and does not participate for a season is not eligible to play in NESLL in subsequent years.
- Softball. Children who live within the aforementioned RUG boundaries are eligible to play NESLL softball as part of a NESLL-RUG reciprocal registration agreement.
