Description
NELL’s annual Skills & Scrimmage Fall Ball Program provides players specialized, in-depth instruction on the batting swing, fielding, baserunning and coordinated team play. Workouts run for five weeks, twice a week, two-hours per session; 20 hours of learning, playing and fun. Half of each workout is skills and drills; half is scrimmage.
Mark Linden, Director of Baseball Positive leads the program.
Scrimmages follow a modified, non-stop and lightning paced format. There is no standing around; all players are constantly moving and involved in the game. There are no walks or strikeouts. These are instructional scrimmages with coaches on the field teaching and giving players feedback following each play.
Attention Parents! You are welcome, invited and encouraged to participate on the field assisting the coaches. All our coaches are volunteer moms and dads; parents just like you. Coach Linden structures the program to develop coaches as well as players. You would assist in the program activities and learn in a comfortable, no-pressure environment. The experience of working with the kids is a ton of fun and fulfilling.
All Participants receive emails prior to, and following, each session. Drill content, descriptions, pictures and video is included in the information sent out. The objective is for everyone to Really Learn, in addition to having Fun!
